[News] Wu Chun donates $5.2mil to Japan relief efforts.

[News] Wu Chun donates $5.2mil to Japan relief efforts.
Cr. - XINMSN

Thanks to his deceased mother who would often make donations in his name, Wu Chun picked up the good habit of partaking in charitable deeds when he was young.

Although his mother has passed on, the Brunei-born artiste based in Taiwan continues to uphold her teachings and is an active philanthropist today.

Showing his support for Japan, he was recently sighted wearing a t-shirt specially-designed by Japanese contemporary artiste Takashi Murakami, when he attended the 'Newsday' charity event.

Shaken by the widespread devastation in Japan from the March 11 earthquake, the 31-year-old decided to set up a relief donation box for Japan at his gym after noticing the lack of charity organizations in Brunei. Fans from Asia, Australia, and even the US were seen contributing to his fund-raising attempts.

A few days ago, Wu Chun donated one month's worth of membership fees from two of his gyms in addition to the contributions collected from the donation box. The total amount of donations amounted to TW$120 million (S$5.2 million), and the singer-actor personally handed it over to the Japanese Embassy in Brunei.

Apart from that, Wu Chun also printed specially-designed thank you certificates for all of his fans who contributed to the fund as a token of appreciation.

The Fahrenheit singer was originally supposed to visit Japan in April to promote his latest movie, 14 Blades, but had to postpone the trip to July after the earthquake.

[News] GTV Presents the Leads of Absolute Darling Gu Hye Sun and Jiro Wang to the Media.

[News] GTV Presents the Leads of Absolute Darling Gu Hye Sun and Jiro Wang to the Media.
Cr. - koalasplayground

GTV confirmed the news today in a small press conference, and trotted out lead actors Gu Hye Sun and, no surprise here, Jiro Wang.

GTV are still furious at Wu Zun, and showered praise upon praise for Jiro’s loyalty and willingness to accept the project on such short notice. Both Jiro and Hye Sun discussed how they were confident that the scripts were excellent and believe in the quality of this drama.

The second leads for AD are supposedly Penny Xie (Xie Kun Da) of the boyband Energy and Cherry Hsia. As for Wu Zun dropping out, people drop of acting projects on a regular basis, It’s not like he dropped AD to do another drama anytime soon.

However, Wu Zun drop AD pretty much means he burned his bridges with GTV and the producer of AD, who really helped vault Zun to stardom by casting him in his drama productions of Tokyo Juliet, Romantic Princess, and TW-HanaKimi.

Joe Cheng Makes Hello Kitty Look Fun and Fierce for 7-Eleven

[NEWS] Joe Cheng Makes Hello Kitty Look Fun and Fierce for 7-Eleven.
cr:koalasplayground

Do my eyes deceive me? *rubs eyes* Nope, that is in fact Joe Cheng posing for…..Hello Kitty. I suppose stranger things have happened, but once I got over my extreme shock at the incongruity of it all, I suppose two of my favorites together is always a good thing. It actually wasn’t just Joe – he was paired with Sonia Sui and Bianca Bai (oooooh, love putting similar alliterated names together) for a 7-Eleven ad campaign to promote its 35th anniversary line of Hello Kitty charms, which can be purchased using points earned by shopping at 7-Eleven in Taiwan. I’m such a sucker for these things. If I was in Taiwan I’d totally call all my cousins and make them give me their points until I acquired every charm. Anyways, the commercial is pretty hilarious as well, so have a look and enjoy the lulz.

[News]Jerry Yan is No. 1 dream lover

[News]Jerry Yan is No. 1 dream lover
cr:http://entertainment.xin.msn.com

The Taiwanese heartthrob beat fellow actors Show Luo and Ming Dao in a landslide victory

He might not have any new projects for the past one and a half years, but Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan's fans have not forgotten about him.

The results from a recent poll proved so.

A few days ago, Jerry won the 'You watched every one of his drama; which actor is your dream lover?' poll with a total of 12,137 votes. Show Luo and Ming Dao were in second and third place, with 9,871 votes and 9,765 votes respectively.

When Jerry knew of his win, he thanked his fans for their support and even took the chance to promote good friend Vanness Wu's upcoming drama.

"I'm most looking forward to Vanness's drama Material Queen this year," Jerry said.

While Jerry had not been filming, the actor was frequently involved in many charity events and projects.

Last Sunday, Jerry attended 'New Day New Hope', an event which sent love to Japan. At the event, Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami complimented Jerry for being tall and handsome.

The next morning, Jerry visited babies born with rare diseases at the National Taiwan University Hospital, together with S.H.E member Ella Chen and singer Michael Wong.

Spotted with tears in his eyes at one point during the visit, Jerry said through his management agency, "I see resilience in these children, [they] are trying hard to breathe and live. [Looking at them], I feel that I'm really blessed. I need to work harder and live my life more responsibly."

In other related news, it was rumoured that Jerry would be shooting a Chinese movie A Parisian Girl's Adventure in Lhasa. However, the actor's management agency did not comment.

[News] Vic Zhou and Wu Chun Prepares for his First Martial Arts Role in the Upcoming 'The Yang’s Clan' Movie.

[News] Vic Zhou and Wu Chun Prepares for his First Martial Arts Role in the Upcoming 'The Yang’s Clan' Movie.
Cr. - koalasplayground

This news article I’m about to summarize is pretty inane, but hidden in the sheer asinine text is one important fact – the mainstream TW-newspapers are beginning to report on Vic Zhou and Wu Chun preparing for their roles in the upcoming HK/C martial arts movie The Yang’s Clan (which I posted about here). I’m always worried that early casting reports, which remain subject to the actor actually committing to it. To hear that Vic is actually working out for his first martial arts role, which further confirms his involvement, fills my heart with glee.

Though I do have to echo some witty Baiduers who noted the pointlessness of working out for period role since all that muscle is usually covered up in layers of robes and/or armor. Uhm, tell that to Aaron Kwok, who reinvented the hot shirtless warrior image for The Storm Riders over a decade ago, which was the only good thing about that movie.

The article notes that movie goers love seeing bromances and/or male rivalries on screen, and with the new generation of TW-leading men making their transition to the movies (such as Ethan Ruan in the upcoming The Flying Guillotine, Wu Chun for 14 Blades, The Kingdom, and now The Yang’s Clan), the audience is sure to get their fill of their favorite stars on the big screen. The articles goes on to quote Vic’s manager as saying that Vic has been traveling with free weights and works out during his spare time, in preparation of a very physcial role to come as one of the Yang brothers who goes to war.

The lamest comment in the entire article is without a doubt the following gem, which I paraphrase – while Vic can hardly be expected to get muscles as large as Wu Chun (see example of said muscle above), he’s young enough that some working out will net him a toned physique that will carry plenty of selling points. ROFLMHO – TW-media, it pains me to read you guys attempting (un)insightful commentary.

[News] Jiro Wang and Tong Liya star in new film "The Purple House".

[News] Jiro Wang and Tong Liya star in new film "The Purple House".
Cr. - aiyatheydidnt

Thriller "The Purple House" press conference held yesterday in Suzhou, Jiro Wang member of popular boy-band Fahrenheit and Tong Liya who became famous from " Gong/Palace " featuring as male and female lead. >"The House" is a suspense thriller romance, already shot loads of drama, Jiro Wang is very sure to look good in this movie, he said: "I have selected this movie because of its script, when I read [the script] , [I was] moved to tears".

He stated another reason for his filming, is "to learn" from an environment different from not the same environment as idol drama's, would be doing very hard for the role's reality . Mainly regarded as "Chocolate Boy's" image and now from a boy into a man, in the acting is also a major breakthrough, the transition effect of the film will become a major attraction.

Tall and with a handsome face, usually doing Idol Dramas , the very first film, Jiro naturally spent a lot of effort, specially grown a mustache for the new role, in order to further integration into the crew not so easy, talked to Wu Chun , " I was in lot of pressure, he told me to concentrate and be more outgoing, I had previously been very slow [getting into character before], and now much better. And, my partner ( Tong Liya) is also very welcoming." Jiro think there's a lot of pressure working with his homeopathic Loulou(?) Tong Liya," I saw the "Gong/Palace", she simply cries like a water faucet. Cry cry, too much! I can not compare. " Tong Liya little bit embarrassed," Crying scene in this movie are even more than in Gong!

The House" is a blend of horror, love, suspense and other elements of the horror theme. The story focuses on a rich girl staying abroad, Li Zhou Tong, who comes home with her fiance to own the Legacy of his father, which opened the story of a dusty memory . About half of the film is done, and the film is expected to be completed in September to meet with the audience.

[News] Taiwan drama 'Absolute Boyfriend' Jiro picking up after Wu Chun?

[News] Taiwan drama 'Absolute Boyfriend' Jiro picking up after Wu Chun?
Original - http://twssg.blogspot.com/

Wu Chun unceremoniously dropped out of 'Absolute Boyfriend' for other pursuits and left the crew scrambling to find a new male lead. Now, there is news floating around that the replacement will be none other than Chun's bandmate, Jiro Wang.

This drama adaptation of the manga Zettai Kareshi, co-starring Gu Hye Sun. Apparently GTV is furious, but Wu Zun’s publicist lays the blame on the repeated delays by GTV to start production, as well as a consideration that Wu Zun wasn’t right for the role of the perfect robot boyfriend. Word on the street is that GTV is hoping Jiro Wang will step in for Wu Zun, and I’m of a mixed feeling about that.

Nothing has been confirmed yet and Jiro's management has been stating that Jiro is still concentrating on his mainland movie, ē“«å®… (roughly Purple House), and has not thought about his plans afterwards. But nothing has been denied either, so perhaps Jiro will be picking up the baton for Chun.

[News] Vic Chou denies drastic weight loss was due to depression.

[News] Vic Chou denies drastic weight loss was due to depression.
Cr. - ChannelNewsAsia

BEIJING: Taiwan singer-actor Vic Chou denied rumours that he was suffering from depression, during a press event in Beijing on Tuesday, reported Chinese media.

The 29-year-old actor looked thin and emaciated recently, sparking rumours that his drastic weight loss was a result of prolonged bouts of depression.

However, the star expressed that it was his work on the Taiwan television drama "Returning Home" that caused him to lose weight.

"I was working on a war drama recently; the character was particularly repressed, so I lost weight.

"I have been taking traditional Chinese remedies to recover," said Chou, at the press event to mark the start of production for his new movie "Living with Fashion".

The former F4 member expressed that he had since gained a healthy amount of weight and pointed out that a lot of things people say about him these days are untrue.

"I feel a lot better now ... There is even a rumour going around online that says I am a homosexual; do you believe that as well?" said the "Black and White" star.

Chou said his new film "Living with Fashion"; a romantic comedy set against the backdrop of the fashion magazine industry, "is a welcome change" after being cast in a gritty war drama, and loved the chance to play the villain.

"I have always wanted to try playing male characters who are a little nasty and radical.

"This film gives me a chance to fulfil my dream as it casts me as a big corporate baddie," said Chou.

"Living with Fashion" also stars Taiwan actress Vivian Hsu and Cantopop legend Alan Tam.

[News] Show Luo to bare all if album sales break 170,000 copies.

[News] Show Luo to bare all if album sales break 170,000 copies.
Cr. - http://entertainment.xin.msn.com/

Due to overwhelming responses from fans, Show held another autograph session at Xi Men Ding, Taipei on Apr 10. The considerate singer even scheduled it early, so that fans could go home early.

At the autograph session, Show sang his new song and announced that his albums have sold more than 140,000 copies since it was released.

The singer admitted that he was not confident that his latest album Only For You would outsell Rashomon, his previous album which sold 150,000 copies.

However, Show promised his fans that if Only For You sold more than 150,000 copies, he would dance in pink pajamas to thank his fans. Should it sell more than 170,000 copies, the singer said he wouldn't mind going naked.

In other related reports, Show recently attended the inaugural Chinese Golden Chart where he met fellow singer Cyndi Wang backstage.

Cyndi later manipulated the photo they had taken together, uglified it and uploaded it onto her microblog. When Show saw the picture, he commented, "That is so cool! Haha, I laughed so much!"

Show became so addicted to the photo-manipulating app that he begun uploading spoofed pictures of him and other celebs. The fish-eye effect was added into a photo of Show, which exaggerated the singer's mouth.

"A lucky photo [for you all] before I go to bed. Those who repost [the photo] will be lucky in love, career, studies and health!" Show joked.

[News] Jerry Yan and Terri Kwan Rumoured to Be Dating.

[News] Jerry Yan and Terri Kwan Rumoured to Be Dating.
Cr. - .asianbite

In 2009, Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan and actress Terri Kwan worked together on the drama Starlit and was later rumoured to be dating each other. However, the pair always maintained that they were nothing more than friends.

Recently, a Taiwanese tabloid revealed that the celebs were actually dating each other.

According to the source, Jerry and Terri had been dating in secret for the past two years and despite the frequent quarrels, the couple did not break up.

It is known that rumours of the two celebs began after Terri was spotted going to Jerry's place two years ago. In November that same year, the two was said to have toured Sumerian Island together.

Last year, Terri said that "it was an old rumour" and described her relationship with Jerry as a "human and ghost" one.

However, the tabloid refuted that Terri once revealed her views on love and said she hopes to date in secret and intends to get married suddenly without her parents' knowledge.

When interviewed, Jerry's management expressed that it is normal for celebs to be meeting each other. The company will not interfere and hopes that the public will stop speculating.

Terri's manager replied that the company will not interfere on their artistes' personal relationships and is unsure of Terri's relationship status now. The manager added that Terri and Jerry are friends and it is usual for the two to keep in contact.

[News] Has Vic Chou’s depression returned?

[News] Has Vic Chou’s depression returned?
Cr. - xinmsn

The Taiwanese actor was spotted looking thinner than before. When Vic Chou shot Meteor Garden in 2000, he said that the most important thing during filming is that he must not go hungry.

This has apparently changed.

When Vic was filming Returning Home in China late last year, the actor only ate two mouthfuls of rice. His lack of appetite, a weak stomach and insomnia were probably causes of the actor's sunken cheeks. The actor currently weighs 58kg.

This has led to speculations that the actor's depression has returned.

In 2005, Vic was speculated to have depression and had been visiting the psychiatrist secretly. However, the speculations were brushed away by his managers.

According to Vic's manager Zhi Xiang Li, Vic rarely ate when he was filming because he was afraid he cannot think properly with a fuller stomach.

When asked if the sudden weight loss was related to the actor's depression, Zhi denied and said, "He [Vic Chou] visits the doctor every three months. The doctor gives him some drugs to aid him in his sleep, but they're not sedatives."

The actor is currently trying to gain back his weight by eating more.

[News] Show Luo: "I want to hold a massive wedding!"

[News] Show Luo: "I want to hold a massive wedding!"
Cr. - http://www.channelnewsasia.com/

Taiwan singer Show Luo revealed during an album signing event in Hong Kong on Saturday that the wedding he wants is the exact opposite of good friend Barbie Hsu's failed attempt at a low-profile wedding, reported Chinese media.

"When I marry, it will be very high profile!

"I want to collect cash wedding gifts from my friends so I need it (the wedding) to be very high profile!" Luo said with a laugh.

"Nowadays, I keep giving out red packets as wedding gifts to my friends because a lot of them are getting married. So if I get married, I want to hold a massive wedding!

"It will be like a concert and the wedding gifts will be like tickets," said Luo.

About 2,000 fans turned up for the event but Luo had to leave before signing all their albums as the venue owners needed him to vacate the area.

The popular singer ended up having to continue his album signing session in the car park.

"My habit is to finish signing for everybody before I leave. I cannot allow anyone who came for my performances or album signings to leave unsatisfied or without my autograph on their album," Luo told reporters.

Unfortunately, Luo's manager complained on her micro-blog that some of his overzealous fans took advantage of his professionalism that day.

She posted photos of fans rubbing his autograph off their album just so they could enter the autograph queue again and meet their idol once more, creating extra work for Luo and wasting a lot of his time.

Aaron Yan’s first mini solo album, “The Next Me” debuts at first place on both G-Music’s and Five Music’s album sales chart. Aaron, who has always been confident of his vocals, expressed in joy, “It’s a great surprise for the listeners, this lets them know that looks and talent can co-exist.”

It’s not so much of a surprise for Aaron to debut at number one as he recently announced that he had already sold sixty thousand copies on preorder, which is enough to put him in top five sellers for last year. His record company declared several times that they “did not inflate these numbers.” Aaron commented, “I'm surprised too, it’s twice as many as I originally expected.”

[News] Asian Artistes Gather to Raise $18 Million for Japan.

[News] Asian Artistes Gather to Raise $18 Million for Japan.
Source: Mingpao
Translated by: sparkles_n15 @ asianfanatics.net

Organized by the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild, over 300 singers and artistes took part in the 'Love Without Borders' candlelight event last night in Victoria Park. The three-hour concert ran from 7:00-10:00 p.m. and was broadcasted live. Approximately 10,000 people came to show their support, with more people showing up as the night wore on. Jackie Chan personally donated $3 million towards the cause. By the end of the night, they raised over $18 million, which will be donated to the Salvation Army to help with the relief efforts in Japan. The Japanese Consulate-General in Hong Kong went on stage to thank the generosity and support of all the Hong Kong citizens. He promises to relay their messages of hope back to everyone in Japan.

The fundraiser gathered stars from all over the world, including Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Indonesia. However, singers from China were noticeably absent. Artistes from Japan who specially flew to Hong Kong for the event included renowned Enka singer Sen Masao, Nakamura Masatoshi, Judy Ongg, and members of AKB48. Everyone thanked the citizens of Hong Kong for their support. Sen Masao sang his classic song 'Kitaguni no Haru' along with Joey Yung and Shirley Kwan.

The song was sung in Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. Sen Masao said, "Everyone has gathered here today for this cause. I am so grateful for all the warmth we've received." He also said 'thank you' in Cantonese. Judy Ongg, who resides in Japan, performed the themesong from the Japanese series 'Oshin' with Miriam Yeung and Mag Lam. On stage she said, "Japan is my adopted country. It is suffering so much right now. However, with so many Hong Kong friends showing their support for this fundraiser, I'm sure these sentiments will reach everyone in Japan. Japan will surely rise from the ashes and rebuild itself again."

Nakamura Masatoshi says that Japan is in the midst of a large crisis. He hopes that everyone can lend their support. He also revealed that his younger cousin passed away when his car got swept by the tsunami. There are still 5,000 people unaccounted for in his hometown, which is half of its population. However, he believes Japan has the power to overcome this crisis. He is very thankful for the help everyone in Hong Kong has given. He also expresses that he's worried about the radiation in Tokyo. There has been a lot of discrepancies with the government reports, so the news is not very reliable. Right now Tokyo is also facing a water deficit. He is prepared to turn his efforts to support Tokyo as well. That night Nakamura performed the song 'Oretachi no Tabi' alongside Aaron Kwok.

Agnes Chan, who has a Japanese husband and resides in Japan, said that she was in tears when she lost contact with two of her sons during the earthquake. She hopes that everyone will cherish their lives and not take anything for granted. She also believes that there is hope in life and sang the song 'Soko ni wa Shiawase ga Mou Umareteiru Kara' for everyone in Japan.

Many Korean artistes also attended the event. Kwon Sang Woo, Wonder Girls and Park Jin-young all showed their support for Japan. Kwon Sang Woo said that it's a rare opportunity for so many artistes in Asia to gather together for a fundraiser. While he still feels the pain and sadness from the destruction in Japan, he believes that everyone's efforts will help the Japanese face the challenges ahead. As for the Wonder Girls and Park Jin-young, they sang the song from the 'I Love Asia' concert, which was written for the Sichuan Earthquake in 2008.

Yesterday TVB broadcasted clips of singers from the Big 4 Companies. However, the only TVB artistes that took part were Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong, Mag Lam and Joyce Cheng, which was little in comparison.

Artistes from China did not take part in the event. Eric Tsang was asked whether this was due to the tense relations between China and Japan? He said, "We contacted China artistes. They indicated the possibility of holding their own fundraising event. That was why we didn't invite them. This time the Hong Kong fundraiser mainly featured artistes from around Asia."

[News] Pre-F4 Jerry Yan exposed.
Cr. - cpopaccess

A few days ago, a picture of Jerry Yan started spreading on the internet and causing quite a commotion. The picture was posted by Jerry's good friend, on his blog, of pre-F4 Jerry from 11 years ago. While he certainly wasn't as polished as now, his fans are still calling his look in the picture "handsome."

When Jerry heard about this, his reaction was, "It's quite sentimental."

What do you think of his look back then? Would you have pegged him to become the leader of F4?

[News] Wu Chun drops out of both his upcoming series and remains without contract.

[News] Wu Chun drops out of both his upcoming series and remains without contract.
Cr. - Nownews

It's recently been revealed that Wu Chun's contracts with HIM and Comic had expired at the end of last year and there are no signs of him renewing the contracts after two months. He has stated before that the reason he would stop singing would be for his father. While there have still been promotions for a Fahrenheit album release, all the work Wu Chun has done for it was merely to fill the last of the requirements of his contract.

It has also been leaked that Wu Chun has dropped out of both his upcoming series (Absolute Boyfriend) and movie (Summer Holiday 2) leading to many speculations of him preparing to leave the entertainment industry. As of present, Wu Chun has expressed when interviewed that he has thought about leaving. For his fans, though, he will not depart rashly. However, he will not be putting his whole heart into the entertainment industry in the future.

In the five years he has been in showbiz, Wu Chun has only been able to take a vacation on New Year each year. This has been making him feel ashamed at the neglect over his own family and has previously been made to think about working less and spending more time taking care of his father. Wu Chun's father also hoped that his son did not have to work so hard and go back to Brunei to led a simple life. Thus, at the end of his contract last year, Wu Chun moved back to Brunei, and has been there since.

On February 13th, the third branch of Wu Chun's fitness gym opened and when he was interviewed then, he finally revealed what he was truly thinking. "I have always said that if I was happy doing what I did, then I would continue. If I wasn't happy, I would return to Brunei. Everyone knows that the entertainment industry isn't the only thing I partake in. The company has discussed renewing the contact with me, but I have not made a decision on my future yet, so I've been pushing it off."

Wu Chun also emphasized that Brunei is his true home. Seeing how happy he was at being home, he was asked whether he really hadn't thought about leaving the industry to which he answered, "I do want to a little because I really miss my family. Since coming back home, I have been very happy, but also feel a bit guilty because I didn't take good care of my father in the past and wasn't able to accompany him to the doctors for his back and legs."

Thinking about the past five years, he said, "I originally had a pretty good life, but I also had a sense of accomplishment when living a life where I could take care of myself. At the same time, that satisfaction was cut in half. The half I lost was spending time with my family and my freedom. I actually don't have much confidence in my acting, most of the force that pushed me was from my fans, so I won't speak of quitting so easily. I will continue working, but I require a lot of freedom and will only take on jobs I like." Regarding work in the entertainment industry, he said, "It requires sacrifice. I really cherish everything that I learned each day while working. It will be helpful in all the decisions I make in the future. Even if it will be hard, I will face everything with a positive attitude."

Could this really be the end of Fahrenheit?

[News] Wu Chun dropping out of "Absolute Boyfriend" Taiwan Version.

[News] Wu Chun dropping out of "Absolute Boyfriend" Taiwan Version.
Cr. - CpopAccess

Wu Chun states reasons for dropping out of drama, surprising and angering people.

As most know the Taiwanese rendition of "Absolute Boyfriend" was originally suppose to star Wu Chun and Goo Hye Sun. While Goo Hye Sun is still attached, Chun has dropped out and the drama is once again in limbo and are still searching for their male lead. One speculation is that Chun is clearing out his schedule for his big break into the movie industry.

According to Chun's manager, he had dropped out not because he doesn't want to act. It's because the script isn't good yet. We have no clue when they will start filming and there is no set broadcast date. We are dropping out right now because we are worried that the schedule will not fit well (with Chun's movie)."

Though nothing is completely set in stone yet, there have been reports that GTV has been keyed up over the fact that he will drop out and rumors say that they might be looking towards the law. Since GTV has been cultivating Chun all this time, many have been surprised by what is happening on both sides.

When the producer was asked about this situation, he showed a bit of anger saying, "Why doesn't he want to act? There are many reasons, but using the script is not right. Everyone has already said they would act already, and if he was dissatisfied with the script, then we can change it so that he is satisfied with it."

[Interview] Jerry Yan "Pray for Japan, Save The World".
Cr. - kkla@nbbbs.com

According to news, TW will hold a charity show for Japan on Mar 18, and the hosting committee is trying to arrange the regroup of F4 in the show for encouraging the contribution from TW people and motivating the Japanese victims.

==============================

Jerry was interviewed with Chen Wei Quan.

Host asked him how did he know about the earthquake?
Jerry said that he was busy with something and he was informed by phone.

When asked how did he feel when he firstly knew about it?
He said that it was quite hard to believe at first. Then after he went home and watched some scenes in the news, he has felt heavyhearted even until now.

Then the host mentioned as Jerry had a lot of supporters in Japan and Japan's a place where he had gone a lot, did he ask himself what he could do to help?
Jerry said certainly. Actually, for the last few days, he had been discussing with his company what he could do to actually help them, including making contribution, but today, after discussed with his company, he realized that actually they needed materials more than money at this time, such as generators, something to keep warm, etc... So he contacted some friends and see how they should prepare.

Then the host mentioned that other than earthquake and tsunami, Japan is also snowing.
Chen Wei Quan said that he couldn't imagine how tough the situation is, as he was grown up in Malaysia, and he can't even handle TW's winter, not mentioning snowing. Therefore, Chen believed that people in Japan need a lot of warmth at this time. When he sent a sms to Jerry and invited him to join the event, "Pray 4 Japan, Save The World" that afternoon, Jerry agreed immediately, so Chen thanked Jerry for his kindness.

The host also thanked Jerry for his quick promise and initiation to help.
At 3:49 of the clip, the host asked Jerry to say something to his Japanese fans. Jerry said, "Actually for the happening of this disaster, I am quite saddened. I really hope that we can give our greatest power. Although there is no comparsion of the effort between one and the other, each individual's contribution (is valuable), like when Wei Quan asked me to join the function (i.e., Pray 4 Japan, Save The World), I agreed immediately, and hope to stand up, to participate. I thank the ones who initiated this event, and it allows more people to join and to participate. It doesn't matter money, materials, or resources, let's give our biggest effort to help them."

The host said that a lot of Jerry fans should be able to hear his call. Although Jerry is in TW and it is not appropriate for him to go to Japan at this time, this kind of natural disasters didn't happen only in Japan, like the ones happened a while ago in Yunnan, New Zealand, Chile, etc..., so this function is to care the whole world, not just praying for Japan, but also saving the world. Then hope that this world can recover to its original beauty.
