[News] Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji, managers are brothers.

[News] Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji, managers are brothers.
Cr. - hancinema

The head of Lee Ji-ah's management Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management CEO is brothers with Seo Taiji's previous manager.

Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management IMX CEO Son Il-hyeong is brother of Seo Taiji's previous manager Son Geun-hyeong's.

Son Il-hyeong has been the main publisher of Bae Yong-joon, Lee Min-ho, Lee Joon-ki and other Korean programs after establishing IMX in 2001. His brother Son Geun-hyeong had been in charge of Seo Taiji during the mid 2000 throughout 3 of Seo Taiji's concerts.

When Lee Ji-ah made her debut with Bae Yong-joon through a cell phone commercial, CEO Son Il-hyeong was exclusively in charge of Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management and Son Geun-hyeong was Seo Taiji's manager. We can guess from here that Seo Taiji might've introduced Bae Yong-joon's opposing act in the commercial.

Lee Ji-ah's management Key East previously revealed, "We had no idea Lee Ji-ah and Seo Taiji were married and Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji have no acquaintance. However, as the connection between Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji surfaces, truth leans more towards that fact that the actual head of the management Bae Yong-joon did indeed know about the relationship between Lee Ji-ah and Seo Taiji.

[Info] BYJ sister "sirius" Calls For Support - Charity Concert for Sendai

[Info] BYJ sister "sirius" Calls For Support - Charity Concert for Sendai

Sirius-san is a long time BYJ kajok who now lives in the Tokyo area, but is originally from Sendai. She was an active committee member of B.S.J. (a fan site led by satovic), and had supported BYJ and the LSH scholarship activities over the years.

This past disaster had a big impact on her life…

I would like to share her message:

Dear flowerbossa,

Thank you for your message of sympathy.
Not only Japanese sisters like satovic, but many friends from Korea and around world have sent me messages of encouragement, and as always I feel so grateful for the kindness of BSJ chingus.

With this recent earthquake, both my husband’s and my own immediate family have survived, but many of my relatives and friends have had their homes washed away and many even lost their lives.

Still, when I call them or e-mail them, they respond with a tough attitude.
I cannot help but feel respect for how they accept the present situation and how they are bravely setting out to restore the devastated land.
But in their hearts, they hold deep sorrow and anxiety.

I too intend to be by their side and do what I can until we can resurrect our city.

The charity concert I was telling you about earlier was something which was planned as the "Japan-US Chorus Festival" and we had been preparing for it from a year ago. But many of the participants live in Sendai and have become victims of the latest disaster. It seemed that we would have to cancel the event, but because many of the people involved strongly wanted to go on with it, we decided to hold it as a charity concert.

This is the official site:

Japan-US Chorus Charity Concert for Sendai at Carnegie

Featuring the "Hagi" Chorus, Sendai, Japan

I will also be participating in the chorus.

Experiencing this unprecedented disaster, I feel that we are being tested in many ways.

I hope many people in the New York area will be informed about our charity concert, and we would be most grateful if they would come to hear us sing.

Best wishes,
sirius

translated by Patty

Article on one of the magazine, Mr. Yang talk about BYJ, and best present from the number star.
Posted on KOB by Gauelyoja.

Mr. Yang said, he always take care of his company
people, BYJ always says I can't do the work without
the staff members. BYJ always treat the staff members like a his own family.

Mr. Yang also said, BYJ gave a foreign car for other manager as a present, and myself and coordinator
doesn't care for the foreign car, so we received a high class Korean made car as a present.

He also said, BYJ take good care of those who are on the bottom of the staff members, he always treat people equally. If BYJ finds out that staff members are having
a financial problem or having a tough time getting new home or rentals, etc. he always help them out without saying anything (Patty: what a guy, that is my man...the story touch my heart and made me cried). He always take care of the lowest rank people first and do things with them, such as excercise and workout together.

Manager, Yang Keunwan

[News] Chungmuro to Be Turned into Korean Wave Theme Street.

[News] Chungmuro to Be Turned into Korean Wave Theme Street.
Cr. - http://english.chosun.com/

Chungmuro in downtown Seoul is to be turned into a theme street where tourists can immerse themselves in Korean pop culture. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced it will spend W21.4 billion (US$1=W1,097) on stars' name plates, hand prints, media artwork and collections as well as exhibition and experience spaces.

Its appearance will be modeled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or Star Street in Hong Kong.

The ministry wants to decorate the entire 800 m street as a shrine to the Korean Wave in hopes of restoring some of its old glamour to the former center of the Korean film industry. Some W5.1 billion will be earmarked for the construction next year, with the project scheduled for completion in 2014.

A ministry spokesman insisted the theme street "will be a space where state-of-the-art technology and culture meet to enable visitors to experience the Korean Wave in depth, not just a space to drop by to take a picture or buy a souvenir".

The ministry also has ambitions to transform the neighborhood into a publishing and culture complex in collaboration with the Jung District Office.

The Myungbo Art Hall will be converted into a "Korean Wave experience center" under an agreement with the owner of the building. The 2,000 sq. m theater will house a museum, bookstore, cafe, and other shops. The ministry is also looking at other venues including the Dongguk University media center and Freedom Center on Mt. Nam as another experience center. The Korea House in nearby Pil-dong will be developed into a venue to showcase Korean cuisine and traditional culture.

Chungmuro was in competition with COEX in Gangnam as the host of the project but won due to its proximity to other tourist attractions such as shopping mecca Myeong-dong, Mt. Nam and the Cheonggye Stream. "Chungmuro has the cultural assets of film and song, while Myeong-dong is the heart of shopping and design", an insider said. The district also has various cultural venues like the Namsangol Hanok Village and National Theater of Korea.

[News] Bae Yong-joon send over 15,000 blankets and three medical service unitsaid to Japan.
Cr. - 10asia

Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon has started to send aid to quake-stricken Japan, according to Japan's daily sports paper Sankei Sports on Thursday.

The paper reported that over 15,000 blankets and three medical service units, prepared from Bae's donation to the country earlier this month, were delivered to the Japanese cities of Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima starting yesterday.

The three cities and other towns were severely damaged after the country was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.9 that triggered a 10-meter (33-foot) wave on March 11.

"Bae will continuously work hard to give support and aid to the local people of Japan during their time of need," an official from his Japanese agency Digital Adventure (D.A.) was quoted as saying.

Bae Yong Joon had made a donation of one billion won, approximately 890,000 U.S. dollars, to Naoto Kan, a governmental fun managed by Japan's Prime Minister, along with Kim Hyun-joong, in mid-March.

Known as Yonsama amongst fans, Bae rose to mega-stardom in Asia with the success of 2002 KBS TV series "Winter Sonata" which also starred actress Choi Ji-woo.

He has been actively promoting Korean culture in Asia as well through various efforts including running a Korean restaurant in Japan and publishing a photo essay titled "Discovering the Beauty of Korea" last year that has been sold in multiple languages as well as being made into a television documentary.
